ROCHESTER, NY, Oct. 31, 2007 - Lenel recently showcased its flagship integrated security solution, OnGuard, at two events in China, the Global Digital Surveillance Forum in Shanghai and the Urban Security China Exhibition in Beijing.  Lenel is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. The annual Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF), which runs concurrently with the SecuTech Expo, is a rare gathering of IT giants, top security brands and leading local manufacturers.
                 
”The 2007 Global Digital Surveillance Forum was the first time that Lenel was able to actively participate in an event focused on learning more about China's market demands with regard to intelligent video,” said Tony Luce, Lenel Sales Director for North Asia. 

During the two-day forum, Lenel’s booth featured a fully-integrated OnGuard solution with Access Control, Alarm Monitoring, and VideoManager, including live demonstrations of OnGuard IntelligentVideo.

Also during the conference, Robert Li, Lenel’s North Asia Business Development Manager, gave a presentation about the evolution of intelligent video from an event analysis technology into a preventive and proactive security management tool and the challenges of designing and deploying a real-world intelligent video solution. 
 
“We are already seeing positive results from this event,” Luce continued, “including new project leads, new partnering opportunities and an enhanced level of name and brand recognition for the OnGuard platform and our IntelligentVideo capabilities.”                

Two weeks later Lenel showcased its OnGuard solution again at the 2nd annual Urban Security China Exhibition in Beijing. The three-day event was organized by the China Security & Protections Industry Association, and brought together thousands of international and local manufacturers and integrators. 

”The Urban Security China show was a great follow-up to the GDSF event in Shanghai and it enabled our China team to interface directly with some of China's leading experts in the industry,” said Luce.  “Both events gave us great perspectives on where the Chinese security market is currently and where it is going to develop in the near future.”
