Chubb Launches Free Fire Safety Guide


SYDNEY, December 11, 2007 – Chubb Fire Safety has launched a new fire preparedness guide entitled, “Fire Safety for All: Be Prepared,” to educate consumers on the  steps they can take to prepare their homes and families against the threat of fire.  Chubb Fire Safety is part of UTC Fire & Security, which is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

The guide includes essential information on the installation and checking of smoke detectors, preparation checklists, an evacuation planner and important tips from the Bushfire CRC on protecting one’s home from bushfire.  The comprehensive guide is available free of charge and can be downloaded via Chubb’s website at www.chubb.com.au
